Waitawheta Hike

Atiu Creek Orienteering
We invited our families and the Cubs to practice orienteering at Atiu Creek Regional Park. It was a lot of walking and quite tricky in parts – lucky it was a nice day. Our Scouts improved their map reading and compass skills and were never really that lost.
Piopio Adventure Camp
Our Senior Scouts had an awesome weekend down at Piopio. Activities included 4 wheel driving, ATVing, zipline, archery, target shooting, clay bird shooting, grass skiing, orienteering, abseiling and caving. Group Camp 2019 – Riverhead

Torrential rain and 100km/hr winds were forecast, so we went camping. No problems for the Sunnynook Scouts who do a proper job of putting up their tents.
