20 of our Scouts joined with 16 Australian Scouts to form the Wandering Hippies Jamboree Troop. We spent 10 days camping at Mystery Creek near Hamilton. The hippies all enjoyed a great range of interesting and adventurous activities, and made some great new friends.

We invited our families and the Cubs to practice orienteering at Atiu Creek Regional Park. It was a lot of walking and quite tricky in parts – lucky it was a nice day. Our Scouts improved their map reading and compass skills and were never really that lost.
Our Senior Scouts had an awesome weekend down at Piopio. Activities included 4 wheel driving, ATVing, zipline, archery, target shooting, clay bird shooting, grass skiing, orienteering, abseiling and caving.
