Once again we cleaned up Kell Park as part of Keep NZ Beautiful Week 2022. We do it every year, and always get an enormous amount of rubbish- sometimes more than half a ton!

Some of our Keas, Cubs, Scouts and Venturers got together at Te Henga sand dunes for a day of sandboarding. It as a lot of fun and some good skills were on show. Our sausage sizzle was also a good success!
Our Keas, Cubs, Scouts and Venturers all got together for a great Group Camp at Schlaepfer Park. We did a range of traditional Scouting things, like orienteering, cooking over fires and making pioneering structures. We also had an awesome water fight, and a really good campfire.
Our KNZB Clean Up Week event was delayed by Covid and the school hols, but there was still plenty of rubbish to be found. Not quite as much as last year, but still way too much. We went to Kell Park at Albany next to the Albany Village Library.
Enrol now. We currently have spaces in: Tuesday night Keas – 6:00pm – 7:00pm Monday night Scouts – 7:00pm – 9:00pm Our Cubs nights are both full, and we have a waiting list. Enquire about joining now!
We were lucky to have our Group camp a couple of weeks before lockdown. Around 70 of our Keas, Cubs and Scouts combined into patrols and had some great fun.

The Sunnynook Scout Group celebrated its 40th Birthday with a dinner for around 130 people. It was great to have a lot of former youth members, Leaders and Committee and we had the whole life of the group covered from day 1 until present. We had people in attendance who started the group, and some…
Our whole group got out to Sanders Reserve on Sunday for a Bike Day. It’s a great facility for a event that can cover such a wider range of ages and we had about 50 Keas, Cubs and Scouts attend along with their families.
